Police have foiled a procession brought out by Hizb ut-Tahrir, a banned Islamist outfit, in the city. Witnesses said they took out the procession around 12 :15 pm on Tuesday in front of Kadam Foara, close to the National Press Club. Police chased the Tahrir men and broke up the procession, officer in- charge of Shahbagh Police Station Rezaul Karim told bdnews24. com.
